Our Thematic Areas
Women’s Protection and Empowerment
EAC promotes the safety, dignity, and leadership of women and girls affected by conflict and crisis. We prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV) through community awareness, case management, and psychosocial support.
Research and evidence generation guides our interventions, informing program design, advocacy, and policy to ensure impactful and sustainable outcomes for women.
Education and Child Protection
EAC ensures inclusive, safe, and quality learning for children and youth affected by emergencies. Our programs integrate formal, non-formal, and digital education with child protection and psychosocial support, promoting holistic child development.
We embed research and learning to track educational outcomes, assess psychosocial interventions, and improve Education in Emergencies (EiE) programs.
Post-Conflict Recovery and Peacebuilding
EAC supports communities to rebuild social cohesion, restore governance, and strengthen resilience after conflict. We engage youth, women, and local leaders in peacebuilding, dialogue, and reconciliation initiatives.
Through research and conflict analysis, we identify root causes, inform evidence-based peace strategies, and measure the impact of our social cohesion and reconciliation programs.
Livelihoods and Economic Resilience
EAC strengthens the economic recovery and self-reliance of crisis-affected populations through vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, and livelihood support.
Research underpins all livelihood interventions, helping us understand market dynamics, assess program effectiveness, and optimize strategies for refugees, IDPs, returnees, and vulnerable populations.
Climate Resilience and Environmental Protection
EAC integrates climate-smart approaches and environmental sustainability into community programs. We support adaptation to climate shocks, ecosystem restoration, and green education initiatives.
Our research-driven approach identifies climate risks, informs community adaptation strategies, and evaluates environmental interventions for long-term resilience.
